AFGE president: Future of labor movement hinges on organizing

WASHINGTON – Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn 40 years of constitutional law that ensured public-sector workers benefited from the collective voice of union representation, the head of the largest union representing federal workers says employees will need to come together to preserve their workplace rights. “On May 25, President Trump issued a series of executive orders targeting federal employees’ collective bargaining and due process rights. And now the Supreme Court has issued a decision that jeopardizes union rights and protections for millions of public-sector workers at the state and local levels, and here in the District of Columbia,” said J. DOL Agency Help Desks
Updated On: Apr 113, 2016

The DOL has changed how members log into their government computers due to the recent data breachy. The following documents will assist you in logging-on.

PIV Card Log-on FAQs

DOL's implementation of a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card log-on will enhance security, increase efficiency, and protect personal privacy by enabling strong-two factor authentication for the Department's network. The PIV card grants you physical access to Federal resources and when used in conjunction with your Personal Identification Number (PIN), grants you electronic access to DOL systems and applications. It is important, therefore, to ensure that you safeguard your PIV card and that you memorize your PIN.

The attached document has full instructions on the PIV Card Log-on.

For additional assistance contact your Enterprise Service Desk (see below).

The Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) Initiative

To help achieve a standardized support model throughout the Department, DOL is transitioning to a single, Enterprise Service Desk (ESD). Agencies will transition from their current Help Desks to the Enterprise Service Desk based on their existing IT service agreements and the status of their IT infrastructure integration into the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

As Agencies changeover to the ESD, the contact information below will be updated to reflect the new Enterprise Service Desk phone number and email address. For more information on the initiative and to find out when your Agency is transitioning, please visit the Enterprise Service Desk Initiative LaborNet page or contact ESDquestions@dol.gov.
