PIV Card Log-on FAQs
DOL's implementation of a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card log-on will enhance security, increase efficiency, and protect personal privacy by enabling strong-two factor authentication for the Department's network. The PIV card grants you physical access to Federal resources and when used in conjunction with your Personal Identification Number (PIN), grants you electronic access to DOL systems and applications. It is important, therefore, to ensure that you safeguard your PIV card and that you memorize your PIN.

The Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) Initiative
To help achieve a standardized support model throughout the Department, DOL is transitioning to a single, Enterprise Service Desk (ESD). Agencies will transition from their current Help Desks to the Enterprise Service Desk based on their existing IT service agreements and the status of their IT infrastructure integration into the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).
As Agencies changeover to the ESD, the contact information below will be updated to reflect the new Enterprise Service Desk phone number and email address.
